　　Rabbit forage mainly includes two kinds of hay and straw. The most common are dry grass, dry potato bran, dry beans, sweet potato vine, corn stalk, rice bran etc.. How to choose these roughage to be good, we can choose its treatment methods and nutritional value as the standard.

　　就干草来说，可用自然干燥和人工干燥两种方法来完成青草的干制。自然干制是利用阳光或环境温度使饲料脱水，达到干制目的。此法所制干草营养成分损失在20%左右，胡萝卜素损失在70%~80%。其中豆科干草的营养价值。人工干制（低温干制和高温干制）的优点是营养素损失少，仅为自然干制损失的1/3~1/10。

　　人工干制中，低温干制是将热源温度控制在几十度到500℃之间，经数小时，使饲料中水分降低到14%~17%。总的来说，有机物质的损失程度自然干制大于人工干制，低温干制大于高温干制，所以选用人工高温干制的干草营养价值较好，但若考虑饲料成本，则以自然干制的成本最低；豆科干草较禾本科干草营养价值好，应优先考虑。应注意的是：人工干制的干草维生素损失较大，使用时应考虑饲料中维生素的缺乏，相应添加维生素或专用多维来满足。

　　稿秆类中，小麦草质地粗糙、坚硬、叶带盲刺，有机物消化率低；大麦草质地优于小麦草，春大麦草又比冬大麦草质量好；燕麦草质地软，秆光滑，不带盲刺，是农作物稿秆中的；稻草木质素含量低，硅含量高，饲养价值低，因而喂兔效果不好，适口性差，饲料报酬极低。
